With the commissioning of its sewage treatment plant at the Rondebult Wastewater Treatment Works near Germiston, mid-tier miner DRDGold is, via its operating company Ergo, introducing a second water source to its supply mix, thereby aiming to reduce its potable water use to zero.
With a five-pillared approach to sustainable development focusing on human, social, financial, natural, and intellectual capital, DRDGold aims to replicate its sustainable development model in all future projects.
